On 16 September Claudia Suppan and the Austrian Cancer Aid invited to the preview of the photo exhibition "Will McBride - ROMY".
The Munich lawyer and art lover Thomas Föringer donated 44 original Romy Schneider photographs by Will McBride to the Austrian Cancer Aid. These largely unpublished b/w photographs impressively document the uncompromising nature of the actress, who would have turned 70 this year. Gallery owner Martin Suppan promptly agreed to set up a sales exhibition on his premises free of charge. Until 22 September, Romy lovers can purchase the original photographs for the benefit of cancer aid at the Suppan contemporary gallery. 10 very special photographs of these will be auctioned off by Martin Suppan on 23 September (Romy Schneider's birthday) at the Pink Ribbon launch event at the Museumsquartier. The entire proceeds will go to the Austrian Cancer Aid.
Paris 1964 - shortly after her separation from Alain Delon, Romy Schneider had herself photographed by Will McBride for the magazine twen. This resulted in image sequences full of expressiveness that show Romy Schneider between eccentricity and playful sensuality. The Munich art lover Thomas Föringer succeeded in purchasing 44 of these photographs. On the occasion of Romy Schneider's 70th birthday, Föringer is now making these sensational collector's items available for the benefit of the Pink Ribbon campaign of the Austrian Cancer Aid.
