SUPPAN, founded by Sebastian Suppan in 2022, is a Vienna-based contemporary art gallery representing a selection of emerging and established contemporary artists and artist estates. The primary focus of the gallery is developing and growing artists’ careers and support their artistic explorations within the context of exhibitions and other projects, with a particular emphasis on painting and its expanded possibilities.
The gallery program includes artists, such as Julia Brennacher, Dénesh Ghyczy, Markus Huemer, Hildegard Joos, Karo Kuchar, Laura Limbourg and Michael Ornauer.
SUPPAN regularly organizes solo exhibitions and curated thematic group shows, also aiming to establish a dialogue between contemporary talents and selected 20th century positions.
Additionally, with publishing books and regularly participating at national and international art fairs, the gallery managed to build trust and a strong network with curators, collectors, museums and artists, and taking a curatorial and advisory function for corporate and private art collections.
SUPPAN is an extended branch, owned by Sebastian Suppan, of the renowned gallery, Galerie Martin Suppan, established in 1974 by Martin Suppan and now owned and run by Dr. Claudia Suppan. With an outstanding expertise in Impressionst, Modern & Contemporary Austrian Art, the gallery has organized over 200 exhibitions and produced over 50 publications.
